See how we’re making a difference in our community.
We’ve been working hard to help the abused and neglected youth in our community find safe, permanent homes. Here’s what we’ve been up to lately:
Child Abuse Awareness Month
Director, Jennifer Harklau, and Marketing Coordinator, Shelby McFarland, partnered with DHS to place Pinwheels on the Saline County Courthouse Lawn in honor of Child Abuse Awareness Month.
Staff Members attended the Child Abuse Awareness Rally in Little Rock.
20 for 20 Mixer
We celebrated 20 years for CASA of Saline County as well as raise awareness of Child Abuse in our 20 for 20 Mixer.
Thank you to our sponsors- Josh Patterson with DATAMAX, First Electric Coop, Red Roc Inflatables, Heezey Fasheezy BBQ, Arkansas Escape Rooms, and Expose marketing.
Wall of Hearts Fundraiser
In February we had various local businesses donate space for a "Wall of Hearts". Each person visiting the business had the option to donate and got their name on a heart on the board.
Our goal was achieved and we appreciate all of the people involved!
Our Biggest Advocate Class, yet!
We had 9 advocates swear in on March 6, 2017. This is our biggest class yet! We are extremely excited about the growth of our program!
Dixie Cafe Fundraiser
We raised money at the local Dixie Cafe on a Thursday night. We enjoyed the company of many advocates, board members, staff members, and local community leaders. Thank you to everyone who participated!
CASA National Conference
Our fearless leaders took on Seattle at the National CASA Conference 2017. They learned a lot and cannot wait to help our program grow!
